The Resurrection (LIFE Talk 4) – John 20:24-28; Luke 24:30-43

LIFE | The Resurrection – Did Jesus Really Rise?

What happens when we die?

It’s one of the biggest questions we ever ask – even if we rarely say it out loud. If death is the end, then everything we believe about meaning, hope, and the “good life” shrinks dramatically. But if death is not the end… everything changes.

In this fourth talk in the LIFE series, we explore the resurrection of Jesus – not as a comforting symbol or religious myth, but as a historical claim. Did it really happen? Can we trust the eyewitness accounts? And if Jesus truly rose from the dead, what does that mean for us?

We look at:
– The scepticism of Thomas and the credibility of the early witnesses
– Whether belief in resurrection is intellectually responsible
– Why the resurrection is the turning point of Christianity
– What it means for life now – and for eternity

The resurrection doesn’t just support Christianity. It decides it.
If Jesus did not rise, then Christian faith collapses. But if he did, then he is who he claimed to be – Lord – and our response to him matters.

This message is part of a five-week exploration designed especially for those who wouldn’t normally call themselves religious, but who are asking honest questions about life, death, truth, and hope.

There’s no pressure here – just an invitation to think seriously about what the resurrection might mean.

You’re very welcome to watch, listen, and reflect.
