LIFE Series – “The Good Life”
What does it mean to live a good life?

Most of us are chasing something – meaning, happiness, security, fulfilment. For some, life feels hard. For others, life feels… okay. Busy. Reasonable. But still not quite what we hoped it would be.

In this opening talk of our LIFE series, we explore a question that sits beneath so many of our hopes and disappointments: what kind of life were we actually made for?

We reflect on:
– Why the “good life” can feel so hard to define
– Why truth and freedom feel confusing in our culture
– What shapes our sense of identity, worth, and purpose
– And why even good things can leave us feeling exhausted or empty

Into that space, Jesus makes a bold and surprising claim – not that he can improve our lives, but that real life is found in him.

This talk is for anyone who is:
– Curious about Jesus
– Exploring Christianity
– Feeling restless, tired, or quietly dissatisfied
– Or wondering whether there might be more to life than simply “being okay”

You don’t need to have answers to watch this – just a willingness to listen and reflect.

Key Bible passages:
Ecclesiastes 2:10–11
John 8:32
John 10:7–10
John 14:6
