Pastoral Staff

  • Matt Sharpe — Pastor

Matt and his wife Mel joined Salt in March 2025, having served God and His people in a church in New Zealand for the previous five years. Before pastoral ministry, Matt worked as a registered nurse in paediatrics, ICU, and community healthcare, which gave him a deep appreciation for teamwork and the beauty of many people working together for a common purpose. He carries this same heart into ministry, believing that the church is strongest when the body of Christ serves together to reveal God's glory. Matt is passionate about teaching God’s Word, equipping the church to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, and seeing people grow in faith and mission. If you'd like to connect, explore faith, or get involved in serving, Matt would love to chat!
