Sunday Service

Plan a Visit

Our meetings are open to everyone — whether you’re full of questions, brand new to Christianity, finding your way back to church, or been a believer for as long as you remember.

We’d love to welcome you to Salt Church this Sunday!

Time and Location

Salt Church meets in the Lake Cathie Public School Hall on Sunday afternoons at 3pm. It is around 20 minutes drive from Port Macquarie.

On Sunday there are clearly marked signs from the street, and plenty of parking.

The Service

We gather together to worship through song and word. Our service begins with music and is followed by prayer, Bible reading and a sermon. The entire service normally lasts about 90 minutes.

Afterwards, everyone usually hangs around for a while to chat and enjoy something tasty with a hot drink.

Kids and Youth

We are a family friendly church with Sunday children’s programs for kids 1 – 13 yrs.

Our kids all start in with the adults for the start of church as we sing and pray together. They are then invited to join an age appropriate program.

All our children’s and youth leaders receive Safe Ministry training and have a Working With Children Check.

Frequently Asked Questions

As you walk into the hall, there will usually be a few friendly faces at the door who will say hello and let you know you’re in the right place!

There’s usually time to have a chat, or meet someone new.

When the meeting starts, feel free to sit anywhere you feel comfortable. There is no assigned seating.

During the meeting each week, we typically open the Bible, hear a 25-35 minute talk, pray, sing songs about Jesus, and hear stories from people of how Jesus has changed their lives.

If you don’t have a bible to read along, that’s completely fine! Feel free to just listen, or you can follow along in the flyer given out at when you first walk in.

There are no rules as to what to bring to church, other than yourself, an open heart and mind.

Salt Church is a casual, friendly environment so you can wear whatever you are most comfortable with. Dress casual like you would at the shops.

There is plenty of parking at the park next to the school. Follow the Salt Church signs along the road and it will lead you to the parking area.

During our meetings, we take the opportunity to celebrate how God has been merciful to us by standing and singing together.

You don’t have to sing if you don’t want to. You’re very welcome to just sit or stand and listen to the words.

The simple answer is that we’re all about Jesus here at Salt Community Church. The Jesus revealed to us in the pages of God’s written Word; the Bible.
